The Introduction to the Financial Market Course is a Poli Finance project to prepare the university community with the financial knowledge required by the market in the main selection processes.

 

The course is aimed at those who wish to:

 

- Deepen their knowledge of finance;

 

- Prepare for selection processes; 

 

- Learn about the areas of activity in the financial market.

 

The course consists of 13 lessons covering the following topics:

 

- Financial Market: basic concepts, market divisions, areas of activity;

 

- Investments: interest rates, fixed and variable income, investment theories, indicators;

 

- Financial Mathematics;

 

- Accounting: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, financial ratios;

 

- Valuation;

 

- Case studies;

 

- Selection processes in the financial market;

 

- In addition to a class taught by a partner company, yet to be announced*.

 

*This class will be exclusive to in-person students.

 

This semester, the course will be offered in two modes: in-person and online. When enrolling, the student chooses one of the options and cannot attend classes in the other format.

 

Classes will not be recorded.

 

The course booklet will only be given to students enrolled in the in-person class.


There will be one promotional batch and two normal batches for the in-person mode

 

The online modality will have a single batch

 

The course classes will take place in-person and online on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., except on 05/14, 05/16, 05/21, 05/30
