About
Partnerships are one of the main pillars of Poli Finance and one of the ways we train our members. Through them, group members take part in structured projects throughout the semester within our four cells: Asset Management, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Special Situations. Each of these areas is tutored by a partner firm, providing a practical and in-depth immersion in the financial market. In this way, Poli Finance reinforces its mission to train highly qualified professionals, connected to market demands and prepared to act with long-term impact.
Asset
Management
Poli Finance's Asset Management cell focuses on training members in asset analysis and portfolio management. The project lasts about 4 months, starting during the vacations with technical training and market studies. During the school term, there are weekly meetings to present sector, company and valuation reports. In addition, the members meet to discuss papers on risk and portfolio management. The Head coordinates deliveries and maintains contact with the manager.
Currently, Poli Finance’s Asset cell has evolved into an investment club, with R$400 thousand in assets under management (AUM), and is supported by Constellation. The project analyzes several companies, exploring their fundamentals, market outlook and investment assessment.
Investment Banking
Poli Finance's Investment Banking cell trains members in company and transaction analysis. The project lasts about 4 months, starting during the vacations with training and prospecting for possible transactions. During the school term, there are monthly meetings with the partner house to put together the Investment Case, covering sector and company deliveries, the structure of the transaction and its rationale, and valuation. The members also hold internal discussions on IB books and papers.

The project lasts approximately four months, beginning during the vacation period with training sessions on structured credit, restructurings, and opportunistic investment theses. During the academic semester, monthly meetings are held with the partner firm to deepen discussions on risk analysis, transaction structuring, and investment rationale.
Currently, Poli Finance’s Special Situations cell is supported by Starboard, a reference in the alternative investments and structured credit market.
