About
The Introduction to the Financial Market Course is a Poli Finance project that aims to bring basic finance knowledge to those interested in working in the financial market.
The project is carried out every semester, being planned, organized and given by Poli Finance members. Thus, through classes, we seek to teach those who want to deepen their knowledge in finance, get prepared for recruitment processes and get in touch with areas of expertise in the financial market.
In all, 12 classes are given + class with a partner company, which address topics such as:
Financial Market: Basic concepts, market segmentation, main areas of expertise
Investments: Interest rates, fixed income, equities, investment theories, indicators
Financial Math: Mathematical basis for finances
Accounting: Financial statements (balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) and indexes
Valuation: How to determine a fair share price
Cases: Case studies given by ex-members and insights for recruitment processes
